DESCRIPTION:The Troop will be staying at Boonesboro for the week of June 26-July 2\, 2022 (Week 1 of the summer camp sessions).   Barb Messaros (BLMessaros@gmail.com) will be coordinating the Troop’s week at Horseshoe.  As always\, please get in touch if you have any questions. \nIf you would like your son to go to camp\, please do the following: \n\nPay deposit and fill out registration form (Form & Online Payment Below) by February 21.\nGet your son’s medical forms together (A\, B1\, and B2 are due now anyway\, and C is due by June 1).\n\nPayment –  Fee for the week is $550 per Scout ($500 if paid in full by 4/15/2022).  A $100 deposit is due by February 28.   \nCampership –  Need–based financial assistance to help pay for Summer Camp is available through Council and the Troop.   The Chester Co. Council’s 2022 Campership application will be completed online via the new summer camp portal.  Your application is kept confidential and will be reviewed only by specific individuals at Council who are involved in the process.  Applicants can apply for up to 50% of the camp fee.  Additional assistance is available from the troop directly. \n\n

DESCRIPTION:Troop 6 Meeting Tonight 7pm-8pm at Mt. Bradford Preserve where we’ll enjoy 9 holes of Frisbee Golf. Not sure what Frisbee Golf (or disc golf) is then check out the video below. Let’s Go!!! \n \n  \nThe 40-acre Mt. Bradford Preserve is located at 921 Sconnelltown Road and features a mature woodland and native grass meadow. The preserve is currently served by a small parking area and the Township is currently doing improvements to the Preserve.  A new 9-hole disc golf course is currently in the final stages of completion\, with baskets in place and the course is playable\, a parking area has been added and nature trails are in place. Visitors can currently walk the mown grass meadow trails or hike the dirt trails that connect the disc golf holes and to observe many types of colorful native plants and wildlife.   This is a carry in\, carry out park.  No trash service.  Dog walkers must bring bags\, clean up after their pets and take the waste with them.

Please reach out to your friends\, family\, neighbors and provide them with THIS LINK (https://troop6bsa.org/flower-sale/) to place their ORDER ONLINE. Once they place their order online\, Troop 6 will receive it and send them an email invoice from Paypal where they can make an online payment. It’s important that they select the proper scout name on the form when placing the order so that proper credit is received. In the event a customer does not have online access or can’t fill out the online form\, Scouts can collect their information by downloading this spreadsheet and placing the order online for them from this page.\nIMPORTANT DATES – Orders due by April 18th\, with pick up on Saturday\, April 30th from 9am – 1pm.  Delivery of your orders to customers before Sunday\, May 8th (Mother’s Day).\nPAYMENT – Once an order is received online Troop 6 will email an invoice to your customer thru Paypal where they can pay online via a variety of methods (credit card\, bank\, paypal funds\, etc.). If your customer prefers to pay with a check or cash please bring payment to our Scout Meeting on 4/18/2022.\nPICKUP & DELIVERY – All Scouts are responsible for pickup of their flower orders on Saturday\, April 23rd at Brandywine Heating & Cooling; 917 Old Fern Hill Road\, #300; West Chester\, PA 19380 in the rear parking lot from 9am – 1pm.  Volunteers are needed to pick up the orders from the Nursery (see below).\nQUESTIONS – Please email Chris Brutsche with any questions: cbrutsche@ctdi.com\nSCOUT ACCOUNTS – All profits are applied to the selling scout’s Scout account for personal scouting use.\nSCOUT NOTE – Troop 6 does not encourage door-to-door sales\, particularly in unfamiliar areas.  Please reach out to family\, friends\, & neighbors!\nVOLUNTEERS – Troop 6 will need volunteers to pick up the flowers at the nursery. DESCRIPTION:Brandywine Hills Point to Point Races \nVolunteers needed to help with parking at the Brandywine Hills Point to Point races on Sunday April 3rd.  They are looking to fill the hours from approximately 10:30 AM to approximately 3:00 PM.  They will provide lunch for anyone who volunteers at least two hours and they will also be entered into a volunteer only raffle drawing. DESCRIPTION:Hillsdale Garden Club Build Day #1 – Saturday 4/2 between 9a-3p \nSaturday April 2nd is our Bed Build Day #1. The rain date is Sunday 4/3. Please spread the word and join us!! \nThis will be an open house style event – arrive anytime between 9am and 3pm. We will be there the entire day\, and appreciate it even if you have a couple hours to spare. \nThe morning will be spent building the metal beds (we have 7!) and leveling them in their places. We will break for lunch – volunteers will be treated as a thank you – and then we will fill the beds with garden soil in the afternoon. \nWe need volunteers to bring wheelbarrows and/or 5-gal buckets\, shovels\, rakes\, gloves\, levels\, measuring tapes\, and 9/16 Socket Wrenches (required to put the metal beds together). \nThe fence will be installed the week between 4/4 – 4/8\, and so the final Bed Build Day #2 is set for Saturday April 9th\, 9a-12pm (Rain Date 4/10).
